Feel free to use my new Favorite word Ms Sherrill Willis!! It decribes your book perfectly!This book takes you deeper into Ruby Lake as expected. The author is a great storyteller who takes you into the heart of the story. I curled up on the couch UNMOVEABLE by family and kids until I had finished reading MY book. So needless to say it is a page turner and you do not want to put it down, but unfortunately coffee cups have to be refilled!
Story is great and it branches out away from Syd and Zeke (which I was unsure of at first) but the story needed it and following into the lives of the other characters and their flaws from the first book really put the characters into perspective, and discovery of who they really were.
Wont say to much more on that note as not to give Anything away. If you have read Ruby Lake you will LOVE this book and need to read it, If you haven't, your missing out.
On 1 last note~ pet peeve of mine, NOOOO to the Nay sayers on the editoral reviews, so what like none of them have EVER had a typo?? Review the BOOK not the Grammer :) Cheers!!! ( hopes eryone noticesss the typoos here)

I enjoyed this read by Sherrill Willis and looking forward to her other books. Her characters were interesting and I looked forward to learning more about them as I continued to read the book. The author is able to hold your attention making you want to read the entire book in one setting. Thank you Sherrill Willis for a great read.
The author might have been affected by the previous book reviews, and tried her best to write this one. And I am happy with the results.. Intrigued, anxious for more, entertained. That's what i felt all the way through. And i have got it in printed edition as well, not only to support a newly author's work, but because i am sure at some point, i will wish to read them again and feel the comfort of holding a good reading in my hands ) I will most probably get printed version of the 3rd book as well, whenever it will see the light. Nicely done Ms. Willis.
I couldn't wait to read the sequel to Ruby Lake and it definitely did not disappoint. In fact, A Wedding in Ruby Lake was even better than it's predecessor!!
The beautiful love story of Sydney and Zeke continued and was joined by more romance, intrigue, suspense and an ending that left me biting my nails and screaming out loud as if I was actually in Ruby Lake with the other unforgettable cast of characters. My only complaint about this book is that it ended and now I have to wait for the next installment to find out what happens to the characters I've fallen in love with. Sherrill Willis has out done herself once again. Bravo!!!
Enjoyed these characters in the first novel and was happy to see some of the changes in them for the better. Great twist in the end, SPOILER PAST HERE knowing first hand what it feels like to become paralyzed the screaming, "I can't feel my legs!" Is a bit Hollywood but does make for a sensational ending. Other parts of the book were overdramatized as well, like a town of 10,000 knowing everyone or that Minneapolis is an 8 hour drive, but it is fiction after all. Although next time we are up in the Northwoods we will have to stop at Ruby Lake, yes one does exist in Wisconsin.
I read Ruby Lake and loved it so much that I read it once a week or more. I was ecstatic when A Wedding in Ruby Lake was released this week and this one is even better. I can't wait for the next book that Ms. Willis writes.
I thoroughly enjoyed A Wedding in Ruby Lake, immediately identifying with the characters, a testament to Ms. Willis' writing since I just realized that it is the second book in a series and I haven't read the first. For me it is a book celebrating relationships of all types...lovers, friends, family, and enemies. Ms. Willis did an excellent job in interweaving the characters of a small community...where there are no secrets and your neighbors know what you did before you do.
While the relationships brought me comfort, the suspense reeled me in and I read most of the book in an afternoon...just couldn't put it down...so much for housework.
I will definitely go back to the beginning and read Ruby Lake and I'm quite anxious for the next book in the series. I hope it comes soon...I'm impatient!
The continuation of Sydney's and Illana's adventures in Ruby Lake. As Syd and Zeke plan for their wedding, if it can go wrong, it does, from her dad's car accident to Zeke's old flame and her boyfriend (who has long held grudges against Zeke) attempting everything to sabotage the relationship, from lies to threats, and attempted murder. Illana, meanwhile fights her own demons as she fights her attraction to Alex, and lo and behold - Attila the Bun is made human and even, dare I say, likable.
A great second companion to the first book, where you learn much more about the lives and losses of the citizens of Ruby Lake, falling even more in love with them.The third book in the series just came out 12/13/13 and I can't wait to open it and continue, as well as to eventually learn more about the residents of Ruby Lake. Hope the books continue to flow.
